A two-player interactive experience to promote awareness of the Coco movie.
We adapted the highly detailed 3D models used by the Pixar animators for real-time use.
We worked with Jollywise to storyboard the experience and devise a range of possible interactive behaviours.
Built with Unity, we prototyped several interactive features before selecting the likes of spinning jaw bones, detachable arms and knocking and kicking around your head!
One innovation challenge, in addition to the avateering code, was adapting Pixar's highly detailed CG clothing for real-time animation.
The installation is rolled out around European, Asian and American markets to be enjoyed by thousands.
The project took around 3 months.
